Meet Leo

Advanced da Vinci XI
Robotic Surgery System

Less Pain. Faster Recovery.

Leo is helping patients get back on their feet with shorter hospital stays and reduced pain. The small incisions made using the da Vinci Xi surgical system reduce blood loss, cause minimal scaring, and lessen the need for narcotic pain medicine. Spend less time in the hospital and more time living your life.

Your Surgeon In Charge

The da Vinci Xi surgical system gives your surgeon an advanced set of instruments to use in performing robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. The term “robotic” often misleads people. Robots don’t perform your surgery. Your surgeon performs surgery with the da Vinci by using instruments that he or she guides via a console to achieve precision beyond the limits of the human hand.
Enhanced Skills

Leo is enabling surgeons, not replacing them.

All Hands On Deck

Leo has 4 arms and a variety of tiny wristed instruments.

Leo Lends A Hand

The da Vinci Xi system translates your surgeon’s hand movements at the console in real time, bending and rotating the instruments while performing the procedure. The tiny wristed instruments move like a human hand, but with a greater range of motion and precision. The da Vinci Xi vision system also delivers highly magnified, 3D high-definition views of the surgical area. The instrument size makes it possible for surgeons to operate through one or a few small incisions.

Get back to what matters most, sooner. Leo provides a quicker recovery so you can get back to doing what you love, and to do so with less pain relative to more invasive surgeries.

Diverse Surgical Applications

Thanks to the latest evolution in surgical technology, physicians at Oneida Health now have an effective alternative to traditional open and laparoscopy surgery that allows them to provide patients with the best of both approaches.
